Castine Cottages has six two-bedroom housekeeping cottages fully equipped with fine water views and a short walk to the beachfront below. Castine, Maine has to be seen to realize what a gem you have found. Castine is a beautiful seaside town with a deep historical past where many revolution battles were fought. Within one hour of scenic Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Camden, Bangor International Airport, home of the Maine Maritime Academy, Castine has great accessibility. Castine offers several restaurants as well as many local points of interest, a salt water swimming pool, public beach, and Dices Head light house, a few of the places that you just shouldn’t miss.
Our land features a safe environment for children and well-behaved pets. Our cottages are 800 feet off the road, and are perched for great views of Penobscot Bay and beyond. Kayak and canoe friendly, our property has access to Hatch’s Cove and Castine Harbor*. We have 1500 feet of waterfront, a dock and ramp, and ample room for outdoor activities. (Ask about our June and September wedding packages for a great place to tie the knot)
Each cottage has two bedrooms (a double, and two twins), a refrigerator, electric stove and oven, fully efficient kitchen with plenty of cupboard space including lobster pots, utensils, pots and pans etc. as well as outdoor hibachis. The living room/dining area features a pullout couch, dining table, braided rugs, maple floors, and all knotty pine panels throughout. There is an 8’ by 14’ screened-in porch so that you can relax and enjoy the view.
Our water is out of a deep Artesian well (state tested every year). We furnish blankets and spreads, however we do not supply bed linens or towels**.
So come to Castine Cottages for the complete family vacation. Our land provides a wonderful place for kids to play while you relax on the porch (or join in if you want). We do accept well-behaved pets (meaning non-threatening dogs). Pets may not be left unattended or tied up outside. We reserve the right to refuse dogs on our property. A dog is considered a person price-wise.
*When boating in Castine Harbor this is not for novices, this is the Atlantic Ocean folks.

Toward the east there is a panorama of the Bagaduce River, Blue Hill, and the Brooksville Hills. Directly beneath us are the quiet waters of Hatch's Cove. Just beyond is Castine Harbor and Penobscot Bay.
